At our core is what's discovered by the early Christian Hermits in Ethiopia; by observing the animals' immense restlessness after consuming certain beautiful red fruits, they knew they had been offered a God-given apocalypse; a beverage that would guarantee their vigilance in both a literal and spiritual way. By roasting the coffee beans in raw desert fire, by pulverizing them with flat rocks, and mixing their brown powder with warmed water, the early monks, gave birth to coffee, as we still know it today!
